Immunology
The growth of Immunology continues to challenge the medical and academic fields. In this course, we will attempt to look at specific areas of the growing knowledge of the Immune system and its functions. This class will explore new research on the workings of innate and adaptive immunity, and an emphasis will be placed on the clinical relevance of mechanisms of the immune system. In addition, we will explore new techniques used in immunology and study various aspects of autoimmunity. The Immunology class will be based on current scientific research, and students will be asked to play the role of epidemiologists to help solve clinical cases.
