Class of 2026

Class of 2026
Welcome sophomores to the start of your Beacon Community Service experience.  Over the course of this year, you will have the opportunity to learn about and perform community service in an organization of your choosing.  You are expected to complete 50 hours of volunteer work in a not-for-profit organization and will learn more about the specific requirements in advisory and from the handouts posted here.
You join 30 years of Beacon students who have given their time to help improve our city and neighborhoods and in doing so, learn more about the needs of our community, the organizations and agencies that serve all of us, and your own capacities.  Many of our students go far beyond the 50-hour requirement and some even continue working with their organization into junior and senior year, taking on new responsibilities.  Students who complete 75 hours by the end of sophomore year are listed as having achieved "honors" in the program and gain recognition for this at school and at graduation.
Please make sure you have read through both of the attached documents (they were also distributed in advisory) and use the "materials/forms" tab on the right when you need a copy of a contract or timesheet.
