NAVIANCE SOFTWARE

JUNIORS - at this point almost all of you have been trained to use Naviance. Naviance is a web-based college search, and application management system that will allow you to search for colleges, stay organized and allow two way communication between you and the College Office throughout the college process. At several points between now and graduation, the College Office is going to require you to update information in your Naviance profile. The Naviance User Guide that we handed out in your training sessions outlines each of the steps that we will ask you to complete.

If you misplace your User Guide at any point you can download another copy by CLICKING HERE.

Please make sure that your contact and personal information are kept as up-to-date as possible. We will send you emails through the Naviance system so make sure that you check the email address you used when signing up - regularly.

Those students who are in Mr. Abrams' history classes, will be having their Naviance training on Monday, February 12th. For students who were absent during their scheduled Naviance training, we will notify you about a make-up session by sending an email to your Beacon address and by notifying you through advisory.

We hope you will find this tool helpful. If you have any problems with the system or need any help with Naviance, please come to the College Office and see Mr. Fleck or Ms. Binder.

MID-YEAR GRADES

SENIOR ADVISORS WERE ASKED TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING ANNOUNCEMENT IN ADVISORY TODAY...
Please be aware that mid-year grades will AUTOMATICALLY be sent to ALL colleges that you have applied to. It is NOT necessary for you to turn in any forms, envelopes or stamps. These grades will be sent in early February as soon as grades are reported by teachers.

When you receive your report card you must notify your teacher and the College Office immediately if any grades are incorrect. This is not a time to try to make deals with teachers – this is only if an error is made. The College Office will be sending grades out the week of February 5th and if you do not inform us of changes within 2 school days of getting your report card – we can not be held responsible for sending out incorrect grades.

YOU are responsible for following up with your teacher until the change has been made and then notifying the College Office again when everything is accurate.
