The list of College Representatives visiting Beacon has been updated. There are many new additions. CLICK HERE to download a copy. Please remember to sign up for visits several days in advance in the College Office.
There will be two evening programs happening in October. On TUESDAY, OCTOBER 18TH - The College Office will be hosting a SENIOR COLLEGE NIGHT from 6:30-8pm in the Auditorium at P.S. 199 - which is across the street from Beacon.
Wednesday, October 26th we will be hosting a SENIOR FINANCIAL AID WORKSHOP from 6:30-8pm in the Auditorium at P.S. 199 - which is across the street from Beacon.
These evening will be geared toward senior families - but ALL are welcome to attend.

The 2005-2006 TRANSCRIPT REQUEST FORM
can be accessed here. Print this form and complete and attach all necessary information and bring to college office for processing. Please remember to allow THREE WEEKS for processing. You will need to print a new form for each school with the exception of CUNY and SUNY. You can include all CUNY schools on a single form and all SUNY schools on a single form. Please see the Application Processing Procedures for more details.

Read through all procedures carefully. If you do not follow procedures correctly it will delay your application processing requests. Please come to the college office with any questions (but only AFTER you have thoroughly read these instructions).
As you are beginning to fill out your college applications - please remember that once the application is done - you are not finished. You must also pay attention to the financial aid deadlines that each school has. Different schools may require different financial aid forms. To make sure that you receive the most amount of aid your are eligible for - you want to fill out all necessary forms in a timely fashion. CLICK HERE for some guidelines on how to get started with the financial aid process.

Hello all you anxious seniors. I know many of you have come to the College Office in the last week - or have emailed me - wanting to know how to go about completing the portions of your application that the college office is responsible for. You will not have to wait much longer. Starting October 6th - October 14th we will be meeting in small groups in the drama studio during advisory to go over the COLLEGE APPLICATION PROCEDURES. You can check with your advisor to see when your advisory is scheduled to attend. The meeting is mandatory. If for some reason (athletics or other) you will not be able to attend your advisory's scheduled meeting - please be sure to come to one of the other ones. If you are applying early decision - DO NOT WORRY - your information will be sent ON TIME!
