ATTENTION SENIORS - There was an ERROR in the Application Procedures form given out in the senior grade-wide assembly last week. The CUNY application fee which is stated on the form to be $50 is actually $65. I apologize for any confusion this may cause. Please make the correction on your form - or print the first page again off this website. You can download the updated application procedures HERE.
Beacon will be hosting two college information nights this Fall that seniors and their families will not want to miss. The first is a general COLLEGE INFORMATION NIGHT - being held at Beacon (or across the street at the auditorium at PS 191 - final details coming soon) at 6pm on Wednesday, Oct. 13th. A panel of experts will be on hand to talk about all aspects of the college application process. The second event will be a FINANCIAL AID NIGHT that is being held on Thursday, Nov. 4th at 6:30pm at Beacon (or at the auditorium across the street at PS 191 - details to follow). This will be the first of ...
two financial aid nights the school year. It will be conducted by Heather McDonnell, Director of Financial Aid at Sarah Lawrence College. She is extremely informative, calming and funny. Sometime in early January we will have a second financial aid meeting where we will have another financial aid officer come to take you step by step through the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). We will notify you of that date as soon as it is confirmed. These events are open to all Beacon families - BUT - they are geared specifically to the needs of seniors. The same events will be held next year. In addition, there will be a college information night especially for junior families in the spring.
