Application Procedures can be access here. Read through all procedures carefully. If you do not follow procedures correctly it will delay your application processing requests. Please come to the college office with any questions (but only AFTER you have thoroughly read these instructions).
The 2004-2005 TRANSCRIPT REQUEST FORM can be accessed here. Print this form and complete and attach all necessary information and bring to college office for processing. Please remember to allow THREE WEEKS for processing. You will need to print a new form for each school with the exception of CUNY and SUNY. You can include all CUNY schools on a single form and all SUNY schools on a single form. Please see the Application Processing Procedures for more details.

The first College Office Bulletin of the 2004-2005 school year is available HERE. The bulletin consists of general reminders, information about open houses, scholarships, information sessions, college representatives visiting Beacon, etc. Check it out! Copies will be distributed to each advisor and will be posted outside the college office.

This schedule is tentative and will be updated frequently so please check back for changes. Students MUST sign up in the College Office to attend visits seven days in advance (except for this first week of meetings when 7 days advanced notice is not possible). They must also get a pass and have it signed by a teacher if the visit is scheduled during class time. Teachers DO NOT have to grant permission for students to attend visits. Students should ask their teachers 6 days in advance. If the teacher does not grant permission, students should let me know so I can give their names to the college representatives and gather extra materials for them to pick up later in the day.
We have a wonderful volunteer Valerie - coming in weekly to run group workshops and individual sessions that can be tailored to meet your needs. Whether you have a draft and want some feedback
or you are having trouble getting started Valerie can help. Session times are flexible and may change from week to week so come to the college office for more details. The first GROUP ESSAY WORKSHOP will be held: Wednesday, Sept. 22nd @ 12:45. The first day for INDIVIDUAL MEETINGS is Thursday, Sept. 23rd you can sign up for half-hour sessions from 10am-12pm. These essay help sessions will be held weekly as long as student interest is there. You must sign up in advance to participate. STOP BY THE COLLEGE OFFICE RM. B-10 Valerie cant wait to get started.
