SENIORS: Week of March 10

URGENT

SENIORITIS . . . FORGET ABOUT IT – Here’s what an actual college acceptance letter says about it: “You must successfully complete your courses currently in progress. You are expected to achieve the same level of academic performance, or higher, during your senior year as you have demonstrated throughout your high school years. Failure to complete all courses in which you are currently enrolled at our level of expected achievement may result in the withdrawal of our offer of admission.” You’ve made it this far, DON’T DROP THE BALL NOW!

GENERAL REMINDERS
• UPDATE YOUR COLLEGE RESULTS ON NAVIANCE – As you begin to hear back from your colleges, you must update your Naviance profile with the results from each school (i.e., were you accepted, denied, put on a wait list, etc.).

• FINANCIAL AID College Applications are not complete when you have mailed out your application materials. YOU MUST BE VERY MINDFUL OF FINANCIAL AID REQUIREMENTS AND DEADLINES. Do not drop the ball on Financial Aid – you must read the financial aid sections of your application instructions for each school. Not all school’s requirements will be the same. Financial aid is first come, first served – don’t miss deadlines!!!!

• If you have not already verified that your schools have received all necessary documents…call and check in with them… please keep in mind that it may take several weeks for them to acknowledge receipt of mail.

DON'T FORGET TO COME BY THE COLLEGE OFFICE AND LET US KNOW ABOUT YOUR ADMISSIONS DECISIONS - If you are happy we want to celebrate with you. If you are sad, we want to help you deal with those emotions too. However you are feeling, we can help (or certainly try hard).
