SENIORS: May 1 Approaches

Are you still unsure of your college plans for next year? Are you stressed about your May 1st deadlines? Not sure where you want to go to school? The College Office staff is available to speak to you about your concerns. Please stop by and let us know how we can help.

There are some things to consider:
Did you visit?
Did you feel like you could be "yourself" and fit into the community?
Have you spoken to current students or other admitted students?
Are the academics solid in the areas most important to you?
Can you have the level of access to professors that you would like?
If you are living on campus, how far from home will you be?
Will you be too far to come home as frequently as you would like (plane tickets cost money, the further you go - the more they tend to cost),
Will you be able to pursue extracurricular interests that are important to you (if you are politically active, are their opportunities to be active locally and globally? If you dance, but don't want to be a dance major, can you take classes)...
Does the school have any special services that you might need?
What is the weather like?
Have you eaten the food (if you have dietary restrictions, can they be met)?
Is there a level of diversity (however you define that) that you would like?
Is the social life the type of atmosphere you are looking for?
How is the relationship between the college and community (will there be a lot of opportunities for community service, internships)?
Can your family afford the school without going into an unreasonable amount of debt?

If you need help thinking this through, please come see any member of the College Office staff.
