Here is the infamous 91st street ghost station. In 1959, the 91st street Broadway (1/9) station was abandoned. It was closed because of its proximity to an express station (96th Street) whose platforms were extended south almost to 94th Street. Now its filled with grafitti and total darkness. Originally it was an extension of the 86th street station.
