Beacon's delegation has participated in various conferences such as the Tufts Summit, Stuyvesant MUNC, and UNA-USA MUNC. In addition, our delegation has won various awards at each of these conferences. In 2006, at the Stuyvesant MUNC, Margo Cohen-Ristorucci and Zann Isacsan, representing Ghana, both received honorable mentions and Maxine Getz, representing Mauritania, won best delegate. Also in 2006, at the UNA-USA MUNC, Kevin Ballie, representing Estonia; Petra Seitz and Eleanor Peters, representing South Africa; and Anwar Wahab and Solomon Odame, also representing South Africa, all received honorable mentions.

This past year, BMUN had a delegation of 26 students, however this number is bound to increase because BMUN is growing and changing with each year! Our delegation is expanding and we are attending more events, including local and over-night conferences. As BMUN expands, we hope to challenge our delegation to try for new things. For example, BMUN is currently in the process of creating its own BMUN Conference, which would be similar to the conference Stuyvesant HS holds every fall.

Overall, despite being a fairly young delegation, BMUN hopes to become a major player in the Model UN world. We plan to educate our Beacon peers about current events and the challenges our world faces.
