The Choir Academy has two computer labs:

Network The Choir Academy has a building-wide ethernet cabling. There are two drops in each classroom. There is also a fiber optic network being installed. Internet Access The building-wide network provides access to the Internet through the Project Connect T-1 line.

Curriculum:

Beginning in Academic Year 2001-2002, subject teachers have been asked to submit a curriculum plan that includes the use of computer technology. For example, instead of only paper/pencil projects, students will be given web sites to research as part of their assignment.

Teacher Training/Staff Development:

The administration with the support of the Technology Coordinator will provide on-site staff development to all members to enable them to incorporate technolgy in their curricula.

Staffing/Resources:

The Administration will be responsible for the allocation of staff and resources for incorporating this Technolgy Plan.

Accessibility:

All teachers will have a computer/printer/scanner in their classroom with Internet access and sufficient software. In addition, there will be stationary and mobile computer labs available for student/staff use.
